[Urban Ecology Email Mini-Course] Week 3 Exploration Prompt

This thread is for sharing the results of your Week 3 Exploration Prompt from the PLIX Urban Ecology email mini course. Completing these prompts will give you a chance to get into the urban ecology spirit and give you a better understanding of your local environment!

As a reminder, here’s the prompt for Week 3:

Complete a soil shake! Use small jars or cups to collect some soil from around your library. Public parks, construction sites, and garden beds are great places to collect interesting soil samples. Then, perform a soil shake with your sample! Snap a photo of your soil after it has settled and share in this thread below. Be sure to make note of where your sample is from and anything interesting you noticed about the soil composition!
